Every year my my father went trout fishing with his mates, and my mother went on a weeks golfing holiday with her girlfriends. We also had wonderful family holidays. I grew up recognising how important these friends were to my mother and father, and appreciating the different energy that groups of women and groups of men generated when they were together.
Man y women travel alone and are concerned about safety and companionship.
Groups of women have always enjoyed having weekends away. Women who live together enjoy being somewhere where that is taken as natural.
There is a growing network of travel opportunities in NZ and around the world which recognise this, and are set up to cater especially for women.
When we started thinking of setting up a B&B, we decided there was room for a place especially for women. So we began plans and also set up the www.womentravel.co.nz network.
Mixed groups of men and women are welcome to stay in the Studio and to book the whole of the Lodge. |
